How is working as a mechanic heavy equipment traveling bnsf?

Question: How is working as a mechanic heavy equipment traveling bnsf?

(Posted by: Sean on 2010-06-01 16:23:21)

I got a call today from them and they seem "wonderful ".ive been applying to this company for about 4 months now when i was getting out of the military. i knew they were competitive so i kinda put it on the backburner after many failed attempts to get in and started applying to schools and going down that route to finish my degree. ive seen other jobs but couldnt find anything on these..i just seped out of the Marines so i know they "Sugercoat " certain things...i wanna know how it is from the frontline- pay, hours, shift, traveltime, everything. or wether i should just continue my focus on school THANKS!!!

I think you should rather ask this on RAILROAD.NET, since ive been asking questions on rail related topics for quite some time, and im sure nobody here is a mechanic, basically only engineers and conductors and yahoo answers, but besides that, burlington northern santa fe railway is an excellen company, good pay and good benefits, only thing that sucks is probably working hours and management, although i dont work for bnsf, i want to and have done much research on them
